Ernie began his career with GeoTechnologies working as a technician during summer breaks at N. C. State University and joined GeoTechnologies as an engineer upon graduation in 1996. He obtained his P.E. license in 2000 and received a Master of Civil Engineering from N. C. State University in 2007 with a specialty in soils and foundations. He has a strong technical background with an equally strong background in field engineering which makes him suited for a wide range of challenging engineering projects. He is an avid runner and exercise enthusiast and especially enjoys spending time in outdoor activities with his family.
Mark began his engineering career in 1992 working in a soils lab for a firm in Buffalo, NY. He graduated in 1994 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. In 1998 Mark moved to North Carolina and worked for engineering firms in the Raleigh area as a geotechnical engineer and also as an office manager for a regional firm’s local office. Mark came to GeoTechnologies in 2008 as a Senior Engineer and manager for our engineering department. He is a licensed professional engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland. His home time is spent with his wife, Stacy and two daughters, Hannah and Sophia.
Debora joined GeoTechnologies in 1994 with backgrounds in various industries including construction, medical, and real estate. She graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina Wesleyan College with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Accounting. She received a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Duke University and obtained her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation in 2003. She also is a licensed North Carolina Real Estate Broker. Most of her spare time is spent training and competing in latin/ballroom dance competitions.
Conrad started at GeoTechnologies in 2003 as a part time field technician. He graduated in 2008 from North Carolina State University with a BS in Civil Engineering and began full time as a staff engineer. Conrad returned to school in 2010 at the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated in 2011 with a MS in Civil Engineering. He enjoys hiking, reading, and building and tweaking computers.
Allen began work at GeoTechnologies in July 2005. Prior to that, he spent 22 years in the United States Army, and 4 years working for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. Allen worked on various construction materials testing projects during his 18 months in the field. He then took on his current roll assisting in the management of day to day field operations for the construction services department. Allen’s has his ACI Level 1 certification and is NICET Level 2 certified in Asphalt, Soils and Concrete. In his spare time, Allen enjoys home improvement projects, fishing, and time with his family.
Mike came to GeoTechnologies in 1992 from Westinghouse Environmental. Mike worked as an Engineering Technician on many complex projects until 2000 when he began serving as the manager of Construction Services. Mike has obtained certifications in NICET, Troxler, and NRMCA – Concrete Plant Inspector. Most of his spare time is spent bass fishing.
Jason joined GeoTechnologies in March 2001. He served 8 years in the United States Army NCNG and is a combat veteran. Jason worked on various complex testing projects during his 18 years in the field. In 2019 he was promoted to Field Quality Control Manager/Special Inspector. Jason is certified ACI Level 1 Field Testing, NICET Level 2 Asphalt, Soils and Concrete, PTI Inspections, Troxler, and ICC Masonry, Soils, and Fireproofing. In his spare time, Jason enjoys traveling and spending time at the baseball fields with his wife and two sons.
Jason is a native of northeastern North Carolina. He graduated from Chowan University in 2000 with a B.S. degree in Environmental Biology and began work at GeoTechnologies shortly thereafter. Jason’s primary duty at GeoTechnologies is project management for environmental services, including client management, proposal writing, site inspections, and report preparation for Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects. In his spare time, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and saltwater fishing.
Felecia has been with GeoTechnologies since the company’s formation in 1992. She has had her hands in almost every area of support work starting with Receptionist and now as Project Support Specialist. Felecia provides project management support to the engineering and construction materials testing departments to include project set-up, contract negotiations, insurance, invoicing, and project closure. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, participating in church activities, traveling, and time with family and friends.
Lisa joined GeoTechnologies in June 2001 after she relocated to North Carolina from Maryland bringing with her experience in various office environments. Lisa plays an important role in keeping the lines of communication open between our clients and staff. She assists the engineers with report preparation /distribution, supports the accounts receivable team, and assists the construction materials testing department with data input and report distribution. Lisa enjoys spending time outdoors with her horses and involving herself with equine rescue leagues. She also enjoys shooting sports such as target shooting and sporting clays.
Kim brings to GeoTechnologies many years of administrative support experience. She graduated from Hard Barger Jr. College in Raleigh giving her a solid foundation for her career. Kim is responsible for greeting and assisting our clients and visitors whether on the phone or in person at our office. She also performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of all departments at GeoTechnologies. Kim is a North Carolina native and likes to spend time at the beautiful North Carolina coast. She also enjoys working in her yard and spending time with family, friends, and pets.
Ed was one of the original founders of GeoTechnologies. After over 40 years in engineering, Ed retired in 2018, but still provides his expertise as a consultant to the firm when needed. Ed holds an undergraduate degree from Georgia Tech and graduate degree from University of California at Berkeley. He worked with three of the top five geotechnical firms in the country before forming GeoTechnologies in 1992. Ed has worked on major construction projects in the U.S. and abroad. His areas of expertise include settlement, foundations, stability, retaining walls, seepage, and groundwater control.
David Harris was one of the five founding members of GeoTechnologies, formed in 1992. In October of 2020, David retired, but continues to consult on projects with a focus on pavement evaluations, rehabilition, construction and design. David graduated from Appalachian State University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree. David’s experience includes a wide range of projects from residential to large industrial projects including all types of construction and materials.
Dave was one of the founding partners of GeoTechnologies in 1992. He graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in the States of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Dave has over 30 years of experience as an engineer in the field of geotechnical engineering and construction testing services. According to his wife, he has way too many hobbies which include: bicycling, sailing, hunting, fishing, camping, woodcarving and scuba diving.
